F is for family and flowers

In the past I have been unable to keep a plant alive. Should that worry me? Is that a sign that I'm not ready to take care of another living thing? I've managed to take care of Comet and Taiders quite well for several years now. So I can't be that bad at it, right? And now it looks like my thumb might be turning a nice shade of green...I might be almost to chartreuse.
