It's a Saturday night, and what is happening over at the Baldwin household? Well, we're definitely not having a wild party or getting ready to head out. No, we're just not that exciting. Tonight I'm downstairs catching up on the shows I missed this week like Glee, Vampire Diaries and Grey's Anatomy. The Hubs is upstairs playing his new video game. I think it's some game that he runs around shooting things. All I know is he occasionally yells at people through his little microphone thing.
We sure are exciting, aren't we? I'm actually enjoying the quiet evening at home. I know the next few weeks are going to be full of fun and festivities, and our busy schedule is sure to wear us out. So I think tonight I'm just going to rest up in preparation.
First on the agenda - Thanksgiving. Let's just say, I'm not the most excited this adventure. It's sure to be interesting, and we're sure to make some memories. I'm just so excited to be driving nine hours to then get to cook dinner and help clean up afterwards. The weekend after Thanksgiving is a big one. We're going to be celebrating the Hubs big 4-0. He has some of his old friends from out of town coming to celebrate and a big bash is planned. The thing is he has no clue. Then we have about three Christmas parties to go to. Between my work and his, we will be celebrating several times.
Speaking of Christmas, I'm about halfway done with my list. It's going to be a relatively small Christmas around here, but that's because we're saving up. One thing I do have to get is something that is labeled "As Seen on TV." My department at work, which is currently undergoing a Snuggie takeover, is going to be having our own Dirty Christmas with a little "As Seen on TV" thrown in. Each of us will be bringing something wrapped up and then the exchanging and trading and stealing will begin. I just hope I don't end up with a Snuggie because I'm still fighting that good fight.
So while tonight we might be lazy bums hanging out at home, we have plenty of adventures coming up.
